91ÁÔÆæ women's tennis player Vaishali Jorge is the university's nominee for the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year award.

University of North Georgia (91ÁÔÆæ) tennis player  has been nominated for the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Jorge graduated from 91ÁÔÆæ in December 2021 with a 3.36 GPA and a degree in interdisciplinary studies. A standout women's tennis player, she was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American in doubles in 2022 and a first-team All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) selection in singles, her third year of All-PBC honors. She was the first ever ITA Nationals qualifier in singles in program history.

The London, England, native is a PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar and was named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction. The 2020 and 2021 ITA Southeast Region doubles champion, she was the 2019 PBC tournament doubles Most Valuable Player.

A total of 577 graduating student-athletes have been nominated nationally. As 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the NCAA Woman of the Year program is an important opportunity to honor and reflect on the impact of women on intercollegiate sports.

The Woman of the Year Selection Committee will select 10 student-athletes from each division, determining the Top 30 honorees. Of the Top 30, the Woman of the Year Selection Committee will announce nine finalists, three from each NCAA division. The NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics will review the finalists and name the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year.
